v The Complete Package PEP can truly provide customers with a "Total Package", from development and prototype through to the supply of complete assembled metalwork in small or large quantities in a huge variety of materials. All types of metal treatment and screen printing are available via our Quality Approved sub-contractors. A combination of sound engineering experience and highly productive CNC plant enable PEP to stay at the cutting edge of sheet metal technology and at the same time to find innovative ways to cut customers' existing costs. Utilising the speed and versatility of both the CNC punching machines and CNC brake presses, many thousands of intricate components can be produced quickly and without the need for expensive tooling. PEP has an extensive range of CNC Amada punching and bending plant capable of punching up to 6.0mm in mild steel and forming to 80 tons capacity. Both CNC punches have auto indexing and are linked to the CAD/CAM department for off-line programming. This powerful AMPUNCH software enables customers to supply their product/part information on disc or via e-mail, thereby speeding up processing and reducing errors. The system is also used to optimise material usage, provides for maximum machine utilisation/interchangeability and greatly simplifies machine setting to repeat an existing job. Complementing the CNC production areas, extensive welding facilities enable PEP to join all types of ferrous and non-ferrous material to the very high standards that have become synonymous with the name Precision Engineering Pieces. Following preparation of the sheet metal component parts, perhaps involving drilling, welding, captured nut insertion or finishing, PEP has the engineering team and shop floor personnel to carry out full product assembly. Projects involving sourcing of bought in parts, mechanical assembly and dedicated areas for JIT buffer stocks, present no problem. We welcome enquiries for any quantity of precision metal components. PEP has gained particular expertise in the manufacture of computer desking systems and electronic enclosures for the financial sector. Apart from specialised furniture the company supplies a broad spectrum of parts and assemblies to companies engaged in the manufacture of electronic systems and controls for personnel control, cash counting, credit cards, monitoring, testing equipment and general industry. Often customers' orders develop from a rough sketch or an existing product/component, the latter can sometimes be improved as a metal fabrication. This can provide customers with simplified assembly, model interchangeability, less parts and "lower cost of ownership".
